On the road, Ford customers will have simple and easy access to charging stations through the FordPassTM charging network. FordPassTM will make it easy to find and check charger availability on the Greenlots network. Stay tuned for more networks to be added before vehicle launch. Ford customers will be road trip-ready with FordPass™ power my trip in the car and in the FordPass™ app . This trip-planning tool considers your vehicle’s current state of charge and identifies nearby charging points along a route to help make every trip easy and enjoyable.
HOME CHARGING
For charging at home, where most electric vehicle owners charge their vehicles, each Ford electric vehicle will come standard with a Ford mobile charger capable of charging using multiple outlet types: slow and steady through a standard (120V) electrical outlet or faster overnight (35km per hour) through a higher-voltage (240V) electrical outlet, often used for large household appliances.
Ford will also offer a Ford Connected Charge Station where you can:
- Remotely turn your charging on and off
- Control charging speeds
- Track charging history
- Monitor your vehicle’s home energy usage
- Lock and unlock the charger through the FordPassTM app
- Integrate your charger with Alexa and Google Home
